Gametime Stars 18U - Needs a few Players

Our 18U Gametime team is in need of a few players. If you are interested in becoming part of the Gametime family, please fill out our player interest form.

Gametime Stars - Alabama!

Our Gametime Stars - Alabama group had an impressive workout yesterday with 70 athletes from 6 teams.

All sweating and putting in work as one. I could not be prouder or more humbled to be apart of each of these girls journey.

HUGE shoutout to Coach Dan Freund for road tripping from OKC and hanging with us the past 2 days. Having leadership that shows up to support you in person and genuinely care is an amazing feeling. Could not be more excited for the direction of Gametime under his leadership. Big things are happening and bigger things ahead.

Fall Classes Starting Up!

We are proud to announce that Gametime Stars will be launching it's fall classes starting this week, Friday August 8th.

Defensive Techniques

Our Defensive Training class is designed to elevate every player's fielding game — from fundamentals to advanced playmaking. Whether you're an infielder, outfielder, or catcher, this session focuses on developing elite-level defensive instincts, mechanics, and confidence.

The younger class is geared for girls that are 9 years and younger.

Sign up for Older's Class!

The older's class is geared for girls that are 10 years and older.

This class will be taught by former Division I Assistant Coach & Division II National Champion, Alyx Cordell.

Alyx coached for 4 years at Tarleton State University where she served as the hitting coach and worked primarily with the infield.

Speed & Agility

Our Advanced Speed & Agility Training is built for competitive softball athletes who want to gain a true edge in explosive movement, quickness, and on-field performance. This high-intensity class targets the core elements of athletic speed—acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and reactive agility.

Speed & Agility classes are free to all Gametime Stars players!

This class will be taught by Christian Torres. Christian brings a wealth of experience and energy to our softball program with years of coaching baseball youth football, he's no stranger to building strong, competitive athletes.

This class will be run by Marcus Johnson. Marcus is a Strength & Athletic Performance Specialist and former Collegiate Athlete at East Central University.

With over 17 years of experience in strength and athletic training, Marcus helps athletes and everyday clients unlock their full potential—both physically and mentally.

Gametime Stars welcomes Alyx Cordell

We are thrilled to announce our newest Gametime Stars instructor and coach, Alyx Cordell.

Alyx is a former Division I Assistant Coach & Division II National Champion.

Alyx grew up in Canyon, TX where her love for softball started. She grew up playing fast-pitch softball all through her childhood. She is a dedicated and accomplished softball professional with a strong background as both a collegiate coach and player. After a highly decorated high school career, she went on to be a five-year starter at shortstop for the Division II powerhouse, West Texas A&M University. While there, she led her team to the Division II National Championship in 2021. She finished her college career with a .341 batting average and a .479 on-base percentage while earning All-Conference honors each year along with being named as a National Strength and Conditioning All-American in 2021. Upon graduating, she went on to coach Division I softball at Tarleton State University from 2022 - 2025 where she served as the hitting coach and worked primarily with the infield.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 2019 and magna cum laude with a master’s degree in sports and exercise studies from West Texas A&M in 2021.

Alyx is happy to be back in OKC near family and having the opportunity to pour into kids in the area. With a passion for mentorship, player development, and championship-level standards, she continues to bring the same energy, competitiveness, and integrity to every team and role she steps into.

FREE Speed & Agility Classes

At Gametime Stars, we believe in training our athletes to be bigger, stronger and faster. That's why we offer free Speed & Agility classes to all Gametime Stars players. Non-Gametimers are welcome too for a small class fee.

Classes are Wednesday:

4:00 pm - 9 & Under - SIGN UP HERE
4:30 pm - 10 & Older - SIGN UP HERE

In April of 2025, Dan Freund became the new owner of the Gametime Stars Fastpitch softball organiation. Dan brings with him an unmatched-passion about the sport of softball and a near endless amount of energy.

Coach Dan Freund brings a powerful combination of leadership, resilience, and sportsmanship shaped by over 30 years in the General A Engineering Construction industry including 20 years of executive experience at Bert W. Salas, Inc. His ability to lead high-performing teams on major civil engineering projects has seamlessly translated into coaching youth sports, where he has spent more than 15 years shaping young athletes into confident, determined individuals.

Coach Dan's goal with taking over Gametime is to bring next-generation softball training to all Gametime athletes who aspire to take their game to the next level.
